About The Position

Trissential is looking for a Senior IT Cloud Engineer who will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and governing large-scale cloud platforms across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a high-impact opportunity where your expertise in automation, DevOps, and cloud governance will directly influence how enterprise systems scale securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role offers enterprise-scale impact by allowing you to architect, implement, and optimize cloud platforms supporting mission-critical systems. You will provide Cloud & DevOps Leadership, owning the “Ops” side of DevOps and influencing standards, tooling, and automation frameworks. The position involves Cross-Functional Collaboration, working closely with architects, developers, security, and IT leadership, and hands-on work with a Modern Cloud Stack including Azure, GCP, automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code. You will also have Strategic Visibility, partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to long-term cloud strategy and governance.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience working in both cloud and on-prem environments
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, infrastructure, and enterprise integration
  • Practical experience applying DevOps principles, automation, and CI/CD practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, platform, and operational layers
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks and sprint-based delivery models
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of technical experience and 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience and 1+ year of leadership experience
  • HS/GED with 9+ years of experience and 1+ year of leadership experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Cloud Engineering Certification (required)

  • Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting AI/ML platforms or HPC environments
  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience
  • Experience developing shared tools or frameworks used by multiple teams

Responsibilities

  • Execute the enterprise cloud and infrastructure strategy defined by cloud architects
  • Design, implement, and integrate cloud solutions across business and IT platforms
  • Develop complex automation scripts and orchestration workflows to streamline operations
  • Own cloud configuration using appropriate tooling and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Lead implementation of governance models including RBAC, cost containment, and account management
  • Ensure cloud solutions comply with enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Partner with security teams to maintain a secure cloud environment
  • Plan, validate, and oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud platforms
  • Develop documentation including solution designs, installation instructions, and operational runbooks
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and standards to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop cost and time estimates for cloud solutions and infrastructure initiatives
  • Collaborate with development teams and take ownership of the operational side of DevOps
