Geotab is seeking a Senior IT Applications Specialist who will design, configure, implement and maintain Geotab’s IVR and other IT application systems. As a Senior IT Applications Specialist, your key area of responsibility will be maintaining a secure and highly available application environment, responsible for identifying and implementing features, functions and AI capabilities to support internal client business plans. You will need to work closely with other internal and external resources. To be successful in this role, you will be highly motivated and very passionate about Geotab’s success, growth, and service quality. In addition, the successful candidate will have superior analytical and problem-solving skills, high internal client satisfaction standards, and timeliness. This role has a specific focus on IVR systems and a more general focus on other IT Applications.

Requirements

Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
5 - 8 years of required previous experience in the technical, functional & system support of IT applications specifically IVR solutions
5 - 8 years experience with Cloud Platforms (platform components, assembling applications, and run-time architecture)
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple requests, projects, and activities typically working under pressure
Knowledge of best practices for ethical and responsible AI implementation and experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing AI-driven solutions
Strong programming/scripting knowledge - Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.
Intermediate understanding of cloud computing platforms including Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Owns design, planning, execution and testing for projects, enhancements and break/fix issues
End-to-end responsibility for designing, implementation and maintaining of IVR application lifecycle and other associated SaaS products.
Design, configure, implement and maintain IVR applications, associated SaaS Application and service requirements while researching and establishing best practices
Lead and/or participate in projects as a technical subject matter expert
Plan, coordinate and test upgrades for enterprise applications, recommending changes for improvement as needed while ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for supported applications
Lead in knowledge transfer sessions and documentation, mentor peers
Manage Google Workspace within Geotab’s corporate system and service environment
Zero Trust Architecture management
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule
