The Senior Investment Manager defines and owns the investment management philosophy for Financial Advisor(s) and/or Advisor Team(s) by developing portfolio strategy and leading a sound investment management process. This role acts as a team CIO, leading the investment committee for large teams, and collaborates with internal specialists to deliver holistic investment solutions through targeted strategies. The position may also involve the provision of residential mortgage loans, requiring SAFE Act registration and background checks, with failure to maintain registration potentially leading to disciplinary action up to termination.

Requirements

  • Series 7, 63/65 or 66 or equivalent
  • Must obtain all state registrations held by the Financial Advisor(s) and Advisor Team(s) they support
  • SAFE Act Registration
  • ADV-2B Required
  • CFP® or CPWA® designation and/or obtain/maintain at least one firm approved designation
  • Possess and demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Superior relationship management skills to partner effectively across the entire Wealth Management space
  • Strong analytical and portfolio management skills with the ability to identify trends and implement investment strategies to increase growth and mitigate risk
  • Ability to make sound decisions through a deep understanding of investment management best practices and policies/procedures with a strong risk mindset
  • Ability to identify client needs and concerns and articulate appropriate approach to align solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience performing specialist level responsibilities or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the Financial Advisor(s) and/or Advisor Team(s) overall investment management philosophy through the development of portfolio strategy, and leading a sound investment management process
  • Act as team CIO, leading the investment committee for large teams
  • Work in close partnership with internal specialists to deliver holistic investment solutions by identifying and establishing targeted investment strategies
  • Connect with clients and communicate CIO research in a concise and compelling manner
  • Ensure risk profiles, goals, objectives and asset allocations are aligned and reflected properly for each client
  • Deliver full range of products and services across the enterprise, ensuring alignment to client goals and strategies
  • Oversee preparation and present client performance review reports to measure progress to goals
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all investment-related questions that come in from clients
  • May be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans, and as such, is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements
