About The Position

Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services for individuals, companies, and institutions. The Senior Investment Manager is responsible for defining and owning the Financial Advisor(s) and/or Advisor Team(s) overall investment management philosophy through the development of portfolio strategy, and leading a sound investment management process. This role acts as a team CIO, leading the investment committee for large teams, and works in close partnership with internal specialists to deliver holistic investment solutions by identifying and establishing targeted investment strategies. The position requires a strong ability to connect with clients and communicate CIO research in a concise and compelling manner, ensuring risk profiles, goals, objectives, and asset allocations are aligned and reflected properly for each client. It involves senior-level expertise in a wide range of investment product areas and the ability to deliver a full range of products and services across the enterprise, ensuring alignment to client goals and strategies. The Senior Investment Manager also oversees the preparation and presentation of client performance review reports to measure progress to goals and serves as a subject matter expert for all investment-related questions from clients. This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans and is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements.

Requirements

Series 7, 63/65 or 66 or equivalent
Must obtain all state registrations held by the Financial Advisor(s) and Advisor Team(s) they support
SAFE Act Registration
ADV-2B Required
CFP® or CPWA® designation and/or obtain/maintain at least one firm approved designation
Possess and demonstrate strong communication skills
Superior relationship management skills to partner effectively across the entire Wealth Management space
Strong analytical and portfolio management skills with the ability to identify trends and implement investment strategies to increase growth and mitigate risk
Ability to make sound decisions through a deep understanding of investment management best practices and policies/procedures with a strong risk mindset
Ability to identify client needs and concerns and articulate appropriate approach to align solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way
Minimum of 10 years of experience performing specialist level responsibilities or equivalent industry experience
High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

Serving as subject matter expert for all investment-related questions that come in from clients
Provision of residential mortgage loans (subject to SAFE Act registration requirements)
