About The Position

The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player with excellent analytical and data skills to work directly with Fidelity Mutual fund data operations. Our work is highly collaborative, fast paced, and involves close coordination with internal clients, and key business and technology partners across Fidelity. The Senior Investment Data Analyst will perform critical data functions including building, maintaining, and reviewing portfolios and share classes, and processing data validation checks and exceptions in our Master Data Management system. The associate will work with business partners across FFIO to assist in identifying and resolving client and business partner issues. Attention to detail and communication are critical to the success of this function. The Team The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations. Data Management Operations (DMO), a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with investment entities (securities, issuers, brokers, funds, portfolios, and index data).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is required
  • 2-4 years' experience working in an Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Data Analyst role
  • Ability to interact with vendors, clients, and end users of the data
  • Exhibited skills in problem identification, resolution, and escalation
  • Strong analysis skills resulting in the ability to respond to customer inquiries with accuracy
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills to navigate through high volume setting with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, management, and other business partners

Nice To Haves

  • Financial Services Industry experience working with Mutual Fund reference data preferred
  • Experience working with analysis/reporting tools such as SQL, R, and OBIEE preferred
  • Data analytics, data mining, reporting, operations research, and data manipulation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • building, maintaining, and reviewing portfolios and share classes

  • Respond to business questions on the timeliness and quality of the data received and managed
  • Troubleshoot production related issues and engage with our Technology and Business partners to resolve when needed
  • Participate in Operations projects/initiatives involving multiple business partners and provide subject matter expertise
