Manage daily liquidity needs of client portfolios given unique portfolio objectives and liquidity targets. Identify, execute, and monitor investment opportunities across various asset types including, but not limited to, Money Market Funds, Treasury Bills, Agency Discount Notes, Commercial Paper, and Reverse Repurchase Agreements. Oversee collateral management function by selecting and optimizing collateral for statutory deposits, liquidity lines, funding agreement/securities-based lending programs, derivatives, and other uses. Oversee Securities Lending Program. Monitor positions, activity, and P&L. Identify, recommend, and implement revenue enhancement and risk mitigation strategies. Identify, evaluate, and execute cost-efficient funding strategies—such as Repurchase Agreements, liquidity facilities, and other secured or unsecured financing channels—to optimize the firm’s borrowing costs and support portfolio needs. Support reporting and monitoring efforts for collateral management, asset warehousing, and funding platforms Develop and maintain a Liquid Markets relative value framework, regularly communicating ideas and investment opportunities to portfolio managers and other constituents. Expand capabilities in Liquid Markets by researching, evaluating, and recommending new asset types, investment strategies, and trading platforms. Build and maintain relationships with external trading partners and vendors, capturing and communicating relevant research, trade ideas, and execution strategies. Establish and maintain external trading accounts, approved issuer/fund lists, and process documentation. Prepare and conduct monthly portfolio performance reviews, periodic asset class risk reviews, peer analyses, and ongoing fund due diligence reviews. Drive enhancement of investment processes, technology, analytics, and reporting capabilities including portfolio monitoring and cash flow forecasting. Serve as back-up to Rates trader/portfolio manager. Perform ad hoc projects, analysis, and other roles as requested across Nationwide Investments. Reports to Senior Investment Professional - Liquid Markets. This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location: Columbus: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215 Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization.
