About The Position

As a Senior Investment Analyst with COUNTRY Trust Bank Wealth Management, you will be part of a highly experienced team of portfolio managers and analysts committed to helping clients achieve long‑term financial security. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and executing investment strategies for our most sophisticated client relationships. Your responsibilities will include trading across mutual funds, ETFs, equities, and fixed income; conducting economic, market, and security-level research; and contributing to internal investment committee discussions on asset allocation and security selection. You will also engage directly with fund companies, sell‑side analysts, and corporate investor relations teams, while supporting broader data analysis initiatives that advance the team’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in portfolio trading, investment analysis, or closely related disciplines.
  • Experience should include: Trading and managing complex multi‑account relationships, Working within a discretionary investment platform, Applying investment guidelines, restrictions, and household‑level asset allocation.
  • High proficiency in trading workflows, portfolio management systems, and analytical tools used in model‑based and discretionary portfolio management environments.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring deadlines, and independently drive research, reporting, and investment content deliverables.
  • Advanced analytical and investment research expertise, with demonstrated ability to contribute meaningfully to equity research and mutual fund/ETF due diligence.
  • A genuine interest in progressing toward a career as a Portfolio Manager within Wealth Management, including building advisory skills, deepening client engagement capabilities, and developing the judgment required for discretionary portfolio management.
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining investment performance composites, preferably including GIPS‑compliant performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across investment teams, contribute to committee discussions, and uphold high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and risk control.
  • Strong investment communication capabilities, with a track record of producing client‑facing market commentary, performance insights, and written materials that distill complex concepts into clear and actionable messaging.

Nice To Haves

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation strongly preferred; candidates who have demonstrated significant progress toward the designation are encouraged to apply.
