About The Position

The Senior Investment Advisor at Provenance Wealth Advisors (PWA) is responsible for constructing, monitoring, and managing customized investment portfolios for high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients in alignment with their long-term financial goals. This role bridges investment strategy and client delivery by integrating research, risk analysis, and personalized portfolio management with high-touch client engagement. The Senior Investment Advisor will collaborate closely with Financial Advisors, the financial planning team, and the Chief Investment Office to ensure that portfolios remain consistent with client objectives, market conditions, and the firm’s investment philosophy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • 7+ years of investment management or portfolio management experience within a wealth management or RIA environment.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, asset classes, investment strategies, and portfolio construction.
  • Familiarity with financial planning principles and the integration of investments into broader wealth strategies.

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CFA designation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage diversified, tax-efficient investment portfolios tailored to individual client needs, goals, risk tolerance, and time horizons.
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio analysis including performance attribution, rebalancing, and risk metrics.
  • Implement strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions in accordance with firm investment guidelines and macroeconomic outlooks.
  • Perform security selection, manager due diligence, and ongoing monitoring across asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, alternatives, alternatives, SMAs, ETFs, mutual funds).
  • Monitor capital markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments to adjust portfolio positioning as needed.
  • Utilize portfolio management platforms and CRM systems to track client data, trades, rebalancing, and reporting.
  • Act as a key investment resource for clients and prospects, explaining portfolio strategies, market views, and performance results in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Attend client meetings to present and review investment portfolios and respond to client inquiries.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients by evaluating existing investment positions and integrating them into PWA-managed portfolios.
  • Contribute to the creation of client deliverables including quarterly reports, market commentary, and customized performance reviews.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to advisors and planners on portfolio design, investment positioning, and capital market insights.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Investment Office on firm-wide asset allocation models, capital market assumptions, and portfolio construction methodologies.
  • Participate in the firm’s Investment Committee, contributing to discussions on asset allocation, security selection, and investment research.
  • Mentor junior investment professionals and portfolio analysts; assist with training and professional development.
  • Contribute to internal investment communications, advisor education initiatives, and enhancements to the investment platform and technology tools.
  • Track portfolio review calendar to ensure all client meetings are being conducted on schedule and within firm guidelines.
  • Ensure all investment recommendations and actions adhere to regulatory, compliance, and fiduciary standards.
