This position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in Miami, Florida. Pay: $47,434.14 - $50,744.20 Annually Qualifications: Seven (7) years of investigative or law enforcement experience conducting criminal, civil, or administrative investigations or examinations. Investigative experience must include a minimum of two (2) years of experience with any of the following: financial crimes investigations, financial examinations, health care fraud and/or insurance fraud investigations, analysis or other related investigative experience, or complex organized crime investigative experience. OR A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3)years of investigative or law enforcement experience conducting criminal, civil, or administrative investigations or examinations. Investigative experience must include a minimum of two (2) years of experience with any of the following: financial crimes investigations, financial examinations, health care fraud and/or insurance fraud investigations, analysis or other related investigative experience, or complex organized crime investigative experience. Preference may be given to candidates who have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or who have prior investigative work experience in a Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and/or 5 years of work experience conducting health care fraud investigations. The Work You Will Do: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: This position is in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit enforcing all matters addressed in 409.920, Florida Statutes. This is independent work conducting investigations of alleged violations of applicable laws pertaining to Medicaid fraud in the administration of the Medicaid program and/or the alleged abuse or neglect of patients in health care facilities governed by the State Medicaid program. An employee in this position of Senior Investigator performs work which may include performing all aspects of Medicaid fraud investigations as well as initiating investigative leads. This work includes but is not limited to, collecting of evidence, analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, preparing reports and exhibits to include testimony in courts.
