About The Position

We're seeking a strategic tax professional to shape the financial landscape of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. In this pivotal role, you'll provide critical US and international tax guidance that supports our dynamic video streaming and content entertainment ecosystem, helping us navigate complex global tax environments while enabling business expansion and innovation. Your day will be a blend of strategic tax planning, cross-functional collaboration, and creative problem-solving. You'll dive deep into US and international tax complexities, translating intricate tax regulations into actionable insights for our Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios business. You'll work closely with business leaders, finance teams, and legal experts to develop tax-efficient strategies that support our ambitious global content and distribution goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm
• Knowledge of international indirect tax planning and strong understanding of or practical experience with tax laws in other countries
• Experience in making data driven business decisions
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff
• Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards
• Experience with tax modeling in Excel-based models or other similar programs

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive tax-efficient strategies for international business expansions and restructuring initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure holistic tax support and alignment in a fast-paced environment
• Create and maintain robust documentation supporting tax guidance, reporting and compliance, and related controversy matters
• Translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable insights for tax and non-tax partners
• Monitor and communicate evolving international and US tax regulations impacting our entertainment businesses
