About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Interior Architectural Drafter to join our luxury residential interior design studio. This senior-level role is critical to the successful execution of our projects, producing refined, accurate, and visually compelling technical documentation—from detailed interior architectural drawing sets to photorealistic 3D renderings.

The Senior Interior Architectural Drafter works in close collaboration with designers, project managers, architects, builders, and clients to translate design intent into precise, buildable documentation while upholding the firm’s exceptional standards of quality, organization, and professionalism.

This position is ideal for an experienced drafting professional who brings deep technical expertise, strong judgment, and a collaborative mindset to a fast-paced, design-forward environment.

The ideal candidate will combine advanced technical mastery with strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence. You are comfortable supporting multiple design teams simultaneously, managing complex drawing packages, and contributing meaningfully to both the creative and technical success of projects. You take pride in accuracy, clarity, and consistency, and you understand the critical role documentation plays in delivering high-end residential design.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of productive professional experience in drafting, interior design documentation, or architectural support. (Not suitable for entry-level / internship-only background.)
• Exceptional drafting accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent collaboration, interpersonal communication, and high emotional intelligence.
• Ability to understand and translate design concepts into precise technical documentation.
• Comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, trades, and architects professionally.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks across diverse project teams.
• Proactive problem solving and willingness to support areas beyond drafting when needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when interacting with clients and project partners.
• Drafting & BIM Platforms: High-level competency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to produce detailed drawing sets, elevations, sections, and schedules. Experience with ArchiCAD is a plus.
• Adobe Creative Suite & Presentation Tools: Skilled in InDesign and Photoshop for creating polished presentations, design boards, diagrams, and visual concept packages.
• Productivity & Project Management Software: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Bluebeam, and Studio Designer (or similar project management/FF&E tracking platforms).
• Digital Workflow: Ability to maintain organized file structures, adopt firm CAD standards, and collaborate within shared digital environments across teams.
• 3D Modeling & Rendering: Strong capability in one or more visualization tools such as Rhino, 3ds Max, Revit, or Lumion, with the ability to generate accurate models and realistic renderings that clearly communicate design intent.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in high-end residential architecture or interior design strongly preferred.
• Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with ArchiCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce interior architectural drawing sets, incl. plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
• Generate accurate and detailed CAD documentation for design presentations, construction documents, and client review.
• Revise drawings and models based on feedback from lead designers, project managers, and clients.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to firm standards for formatting, notation, and organization.
• Maintain project CAD/Revit/ArchiCAD libraries and ensure consistent digital file organization.
• Assist in developing custom millwork, cabinetry, and fabrication details.
• Create high-quality, photorealistic renderings using appropriate 3D modeling and rendering programs.
• Work across multiple project teams, assisting designers with drafting needs, renderings, presentation materials, and sourcing tasks.
• Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to design intent translation into technical drawings.
• Serve as a collaborative, professional presence when attending meetings and communicating with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Assist in preparing InDesign presentation decks, diagrams, mood boards, and specification packages.
• Support organization of product samples, sourcing documentation, proposal invoices, and material tracking when needed.
• Help maintain consistent drafting standards, digital file workflows, and documentation protocols.
• Contribute to project timelines by managing individual drafting queues efficiently and transparently.
• Assist with Bluebeam markups, design revisions, and consultant coordination.
• Support the design team in preparing accurate documentation for procurement, including dimensions, material details, and installation notes.
