About The Position

As a Barron’s Top 100 RIA firm and voted Best Places to Work by Fortune, Pacific Coast Business Times, Inc. (Best Workplaces), and Investment News, Mission Wealth is hiring a growth-minded Senior Information Technology Manager to join our award-winning team! If you are ready to elevate your career in a leading wealth management company with a commitment to giving back to the community and expanding nationally, let’s go! As a Senior Information Technology Manager, you will lead and operate the core IT function that keeps our people productive, secure, and supported across the firm. You’ll own the day-to-day health of our end-user technology stack (devices, identity/access, SaaS tools, office tech, networks), while also driving the roadmap that scales Mission Wealth’s IT capabilities as we grow. This is a hands-on builder-leader role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving systems, and creating structure that makes everything run smoother. You’ll balance frontline execution with leadership: building standards, documentation, and processes — and as the organization grows, you’ll have the opportunity to build out and lead an IT team that can scale with the firm. Partnering closely with Operations, Compliance, HR, and key business stakeholders, you will translate real-world business needs into durable, secure, well-supported technology. You’ll also help professionalize IT operations by establishing service levels, runbooks, and a clear operating cadence – creating an IT function that feels responsive, reliable, and proactive.

Requirements

  • A hands-on leadership style: you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, but you also build systems so problems don’t keep repeating.
  • A service-oriented mindset: you can support colleagues with empathy while maintaining clear standards and strong follow-through.
  • Strong operational discipline: you document, standardize, and create repeatable workflows that others can execute.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead a platform migration end-to-end (requirements, risk management, cutover planning, stakeholder communication, and post-migration stabilization) while keeping the business running.
  • Sound judgment around security and privacy, especially in environments that handle sensitive client information.
  • Comfort translating business needs into practical technical decisions (tradeoffs, priorities, sequencing, and change management).
  • Clear communication: you can explain what’s happening, what’s changing, and why — to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience supporting end-user systems and business-critical technology in a professional environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (people management and/or clear ownership of an IT function with mentoring and accountability).
  • Strong experience with endpoint/device management for Windows and/or macOS (provisioning, patching, compliance, encryption, lifecycle).
  • Experience administering a productivity suite (Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace) and core collaboration tooling.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (Wi‑Fi, VPN concepts, firewall basics, troubleshooting, vendor/ISP coordination).
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools, asset inventory management, and building documentation/runbooks.
  • Practical security experience (MFA, least privilege access, patching hygiene, endpoint security, incident coordination).
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers; able to hold partners accountable to timelines and outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, etc.), ITIL foundation, Security+, or other relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end IT operations for Mission Wealth, ensuring employees have reliable, secure access to systems, devices, and support.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues (identity/access, endpoint management, network/Wi‑Fi, conferencing, device troubleshooting) while improving root-cause resolution.
  • Lead onboarding/offboarding and access lifecycle management with strong security hygiene (least privilege, MFA, audits, role-based access).
  • Administer and continuously improve core productivity and collaboration tools (email, calendars, conferencing, file sharing, endpoint security, and related SaaS platforms).
  • Manage endpoint lifecycle: device standards, provisioning, patching, encryption, inventory, replacements/refresh cycles, and vendor coordination.
  • Strengthen security posture in partnership with leadership: policies, device compliance, incident response coordination, vendor risk awareness, and practical guardrails for client data.
  • Own IT service management practices: ticketing workflow, SLAs, documentation/runbooks, knowledge base, asset tracking, and metrics that show what’s improving (and what isn’t).
  • Oversee office technology and infrastructure nationally across locations (network/Wi‑Fi, conference rooms, printers if applicable, ISP coordination), ensuring a consistent employee experience.
  • Lead IT projects end-to-end (tool implementations, migrations, standardization, workflow improvements), from requirements through rollout and training.
  • Help define the back-office IT org as we grow: identify where to hire (helpdesk / sysadmin / security support), interview, onboard, and mentor new team members.
