About The Position

The WWT Information Security (InfoSec) team is currently searching for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join the Security Operations Team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the tools and capabilities used to ensure secure configuration of the DEVOPS environment. You will also assist in identifying and investigating data loss events, insider threat events, collaborating with the Security Operations Center, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Security teams to mitigate threats, and engaging with senior team members to perform response actions.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in roles related to network security in the areas described in responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of general attack stages, attacker Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs), and defense models.
  • Experience with security control design and configuration in cloud and container environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Information Security Certification preferred CCIE Security or SANS GMON or GDSA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical subject‑matter expert (SME) for enterprise network security architecture and controls.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and report security risks within the network environment.
  • Configure IDS/IPS, packet brokers, network taps, and network anomaly detection tools.
  • Analyze firewall and WAF configurations and consult with networking team for optimization, security enhancements, and best practices.
  • Secure on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes)
  • Be a SME on ZTNA methodologies, configurations, and device trust.
  • Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to embed security controls into network design and deployment standards. Evaluate, test, and onboard new network security technologies and vendors.
  • Facilitate adherence to regulatory frameworks, document requirements, and conduct assessments.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify gaps in security controls, processes, and systems and propose security enhancements to mitigate risks.
  • Design and build automations and playbooks to assist with and improve the efficiency of response to detections from relevant technical tools.
  • Collaborate with SOC teams to improve detection, alert fidelity, and response playbooks for network threats.
  • Develop and enforce firewall policies, routing security, and network access controls aligned to least‑privilege principles.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on network security best practices
  • Translate network security risks and metrics into clear, actionable insights for technical and leadership stakeholders.
