SENIOR INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST
About The Position
Under the general direction of the Lieutenant, the Senior Industrial Hygienist is responsible for performing routine to the most complex industrial hygiene assessments of occupational and residential settings to evaluate health hazards facing employees. Incumbent will provide expert level technical assistance to Office of Primary Interests (OPIs) concerning occupational environmental hazards, mitigating risk, and/or health and safety related complaints. The Senior Industrial Hygienist will be the Department's subject matter expert in industrial hygiene and safety. Foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and regulators. Represent the Department in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) forums, round-tables, and litigation. Develop, promote, and implement policies and best practices to identify, prevent and mitigate environmental occupational hazards in the workplace for the Employee Health and Wellness Section.
