A Day in the Life The Senior Industrial Engineer will function as a key member of the Engineering Extended Team, supporting Manufacturing, Operational Excellence (Opex), and Global Operations & Supply Chain initiatives. This role is critical to enabling stable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations through ownership of standard work, capacity, flow design, and system governance. The Senior Industrial Engineer is primarily responsible for standardizing manufacturing processes, optimizing labor and capacity, designing plant layouts (including office area) and flows, and governing routings and change control to meet operational performance, cost productivity, and MPS objectives. The role works cross‑functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Opex, Facilities, Logistic and Engineering Technicians to ensure manufacturing systems are designed for current performance and future demand. Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree in and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience in Industrial Engineering or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in capacity planning and capacity modeling
  • Demonstrated layout improvement and space optimization experience in manufacturing environments
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for layout and flow design
  • Hands‑on experience with routing creation, maintenance, and SAP master data governance
  • Experience supporting MPS, Lean, or Operational Excellence programs
  • Participation in Kaizen events, labor modeling, or line balancing initiatives
  • Experience partnering with Facilities, Manufacturing Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistic and Opex teams

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
