This role collaborates across the plant to streamline product, material, and information flow throughout manufacturing, new product development, and core business processes, while promoting Lean thinking and operational excellence principles to strengthen the site's continuous improvement culture. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing Lean practices, management systems, and continuous improvement tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma and/or Project Management certification(s)
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or similarly regulated industry
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau
  • Experience with simulation software experience (Arena, Simulate, FlexSim, Anylogic etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Designing and optimizing workstations and production line layouts to improve flow, reduce work content, and make the best use of space and equipment
  • Building capability across the site by developing and delivering Lean training for employees at all levels
  • Advising on product design, production processes, and business systems to proactively identify improvement opportunities across the value stream
  • Facilitating production and business process kaizen events to improve quality, cost, delivery, and safety
  • Coaching on and implementing lean tools, including strategic planning, line balancing, line flow design, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, pull systems, changeover reduction, data and capacity analysis, and standard work
  • Guiding cross‑functional teams through structured problem‑solving (DMAIC/PDCA) to deliver measurable Value Improvement Process (VIP) results; supervise and/or mentor co-ops, interns other team members
  • Staying abreast of emerging tools, methodologies, and industry best practices through continuous benchmarking and ongoing professional development
  • Collaborating with the global manufacturing network to share best practices and help shape company‑wide standards
  • Establishing engineering (labor) standards for product costing, as well as projects to drive year-over-year labor improvement
