About The Position

The Senior Indirect Loan Processor is a key expert on the Indirect Lending team, ensuring consumer loans from dealership partners are processed, boarded, and funded accurately, quickly, and compliantly. You’ll use your advanced knowledge of indirect lending workflows, dealer relationships, and regulations while serving as a mentor and resource to the team. You’ll support quality control, handle escalations, and work with leadership to improve efficiency and strengthen dealer partnerships. This role is essential in meeting SLAs, reducing risk, and supporting strong performance—while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • This role requires Subject Matter Expertise and the ability to provide mentorship, guidance and training to other team members.
  • While this level of expertise will generally be attained with a minimum of 3 years in a previous lending processing role and High School Diploma/GED.
  • Priority will be placed upon the demonstration of the ability to meet qualifications without an absolute focus on duration of experience, in recognition that the attainment of such qualifications may be obtained at different paces by different individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Indirect Loan Processing & Funding
  • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant processing, boarding and funding of indirect consumer loan applications within established service level agreements.
  • Review loan documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance, identifying and resolving discrepancies, exceptions or risk concerns.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Finance, Business Development and other internal teams to support seamless loan execution and funding.
  • Proactively manage pipeline flow and complex files to support daily and monthly production goals.
  • Quality, Compliance & Risk Oversight
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in indirect lending policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong awareness of fraud prevention standards and escalate potential risk appropriately.
  • Support quality control efforts, audit readiness and adherence to internal and external compliance standards.
  • Exercise independent judgment in resolving escalations and operational challenges within established guidelines.
  • Dealer & Internal Relationship Support
  • Provide professional, solution-oriented communication to dealership partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Address complex inquiries and escalations to preserve strong dealer relationships and member experience.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to enhance service levels and operational effectiveness.
  • Leadership Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Act as a mentor and technical resource to indirect loan processors and new team members.
  • Assist leadership with workflow coordination and operational coverage as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, accuracy and overall performance.
  • Model the Credit Union’s core competencies and support strong departmental scorecard outcomes.
