About The Position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create relationships with clients in the Texas area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and design center teams. You will manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. The position involves leading execution and taking overall responsibility for I&C design projects, as well as coordinating I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects. You will provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues. Responsibilities also include monitoring and controlling project schedule and budgets, and assisting with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities. You will support multiple Water and Wastewater and other Market Sector projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges. As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support the Water and Wastewater market sector, contributing to infrastructure growth and development. The Instrumentation & Control department is a global team specializing in instrumentation, control systems, wireless communications, networks, and cybersecurity for all BV Market Sectors and Solutions, providing a full range of services including consulting, master planning, assessments, conceptual design, detailed design, EPC, design-build, construction support, field services, testing, commissioning, resident engineering, staff augmentation, training, on-call services, and system implementation, configuration, and programing.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or must be obtained within one year.

Nice To Haves

• Possess a mix of excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge.
• 11 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting
• 7 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry
• Experience in project management and business development.
• Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.
• Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.
• Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership and team management abilities.
