About The Position

W.W. Gay Mechanical Controls & Integration is expanding and looking for a Senior HVAC Controls Technician who wants to own projects, solve complex problems, and be trusted as the technical lead in the field . Your Role As a Senior Controls Technician, you will serve as the technical lead on assigned projects, responsible for delivering high-quality BAS installations from start-up through turnover. You’ll work with minimal supervision while having access to management and engineering support when needed. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC/DDC/BAS controls
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
  • Proven experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, control drawings, and sequences
  • Professional, organized, and reliable on active construction sites
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Field programming and system start-up
  • Commissioning and functional testing under live and simulated conditions
  • Verifying sequences of operation and system performance
  • Graphics and front-end installation, testing, and client training
  • Troubleshooting and making real-world programming adjustments
  • Coordinating with project managers, technicians, and clients
  • Producing clean documentation, as-builts, and checkout sheets
  • Supporting warranty calls as needed
