About The Position

W.W. Gay Mechanical Controls & Integration is expanding and looking for a Senior HVAC Controls Technician who wants to own projects, solve complex problems, and be trusted as the technical lead in the field. Your Role As a Senior Controls Technician, you will serve as the technical lead on assigned projects, responsible for delivering high-quality BAS installations from start-up through turnover. You’ll work with minimal supervision while having access to management and engineering support when needed. What Success Looks Like Within your first few months, you’ll: Confidently start up and commission assigned BAS systems Identify and resolve field issues independently Deliver projects that meet or exceed sequence and performance expectations Build trust with PMs, clients, and fellow technicians What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC/DDC/BAS controls
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
  • Proven experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, control drawings, and sequences
  • Professional, organized, and reliable on active construction sites
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Field programming and system start-up
  • Commissioning and functional testing under live and simulated conditions
  • Verifying sequences of operation and system performance
  • Graphics and front-end installation, testing, and client training
  • Troubleshooting and making real-world programming adjustments
  • Coordinating with project managers, technicians, and clients
  • Producing clean documentation, as-builts, and checkout sheets
  • Supporting warranty calls as needed
