About The Position

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions to support organizational goals and foster a positive work environment. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to address employee relations, compliance, talent management, and HR operations. The Senior HR Generalist will collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives, develop and implement HR strategies, and ensure that policies and procedures are effectively communicated and administered.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in multiple HR functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity HCM is a plus.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Handle employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote positive employee engagement and a healthy workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support full-cycle recruitment efforts.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure a smooth integration of new employees.
  • Participate in workforce planning and develop strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage leave of absence processes and provide guidance to leadership.
  • File new injury reports and manage workers’ compensation claims.
  • Manage the performance review process and provide coaching to managers on effective performance management practices.
  • Support the development of employee growth and career planning initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • Ensure company policies are up-to-date, compliant with employment laws, and communicated effectively to employees.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage workplace safety initiatives and ensure the organization meets all health and safety requirements.
  • Assist in the administration of annual open enrollment.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefits administrator to resolve issues.
  • Manage HR information systems to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes through technology and best practices.
  • Lead or support change management initiatives.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and contribute to a positive organizational culture.
  • Facilitate team development and leadership training programs.
