About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist contributes to and supports the delivery of a cohesive talent strategy and vision for this team, continuing to iterate and evolve our talent practices over time. Additionally, this individual carries out responsibilities in one or more of the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, disciplinary action and organizational development. This position does not have direct reports but may provide coaching and direction to HR staff and FMB leadership. Provides coaching, guidance, and direction to Bank management staff on employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced hiring methodologies, leveraging creative sourcing strategies, analytics, and innovative recruitment technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manages internal and external job postings through recruitment module and maintains strong communication with hiring managers.
  • Review resumes, conducts prescreening interviews and in person or virtual interviews as required.
  • Approves and/or obtains approval for terms of hire and communicates status with candidates.
  • Responsible for the hiring and oversight of reserve staff.
  • Actively recruits for Bank positions, conducts resume searches, posts in key media platforms.
  • Interacts with recruiting firms, as needed.
  • Attend Recruiting events virtually or onsite (career/job fairs or other events).
  • Function as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts with fairness and consistency.
  • Support performance management process, including coaching, feedback and reviews.
  • Partner closely with CHRO and the Business Partner Manager to coordinate support for first line managers and employees regarding guidance on policies, people processes and complex people issues.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior leadership and hiring managers, aligning recruitment efforts with business objectives.
  • Leads and assists management with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Initiate, track and assist with the annual performance appraisals and bonus/incentive programs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, in addition to Bank policy.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of HR practices, through industry literature and/or seminars.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned and required.
  • Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements.
  • This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department.
  • Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.
