The Computing Systems Products Group stands at the forefront of technological advancement in data center integration, leveraging the groundbreaking architecture provided by The Unified Computing Systems (UCS). Our mission is to facilitate the creation of a seamlessly unified data center environment. By meticulously designing and refining the next wave of unified computing systems, we are effectively merging critical data center components-compute, storage, networking, visualization, and management-into a singular, streamlined platform. You will become an integral part of an elite team renowned for its excellence within the computing industry-a group that not only designs but also meticulously implements and delivers computing system products that set the industry standard. The team comprises a diverse group of engineers, each bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for innovation. In this role as Hardware Engineer III, you will: Contribute to blade server designs on computing system products Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab Work on products from concept to production Interact with cross-functional teams for technical discussions. Address technical problems and issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience or master's degree with 4+ years' experience in electrical or computer engineering
  • Experience with hands-on board design
  • Prior experience with lab bring up and design validation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with x86 processors, high-speed design, signal integrity, power distribution techniques
  • Experience with board design tools preferably Cadence Concept, and Allegro
  • Experience with lab test and measurement tools
  • Experience with shipping products.

  • Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
  • For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
