About The Position

As a Senior Hardware Engineer – Board Design, you will play a critical role in designing and developing next-generation hardware platforms for advanced industrial digital printing systems. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled hardware engineer with strong expertise in board design, high-speed interfaces, and system integration. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems that power high-precision, high-speed printing platforms used across industrial manufacturing domains. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to build scalable, reliable, and production-ready hardware solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in hardware design and board development.
  • Design and develop electrical schematics and board-level systems for industrial hardware platforms.
  • Work with PCB design tools such as PADs, OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with external PCB layout vendors to drive board design and implementation.
  • Develop and validate hardware interfaces including PCIe, FPGA, DDR4/DDR5, LVDS, and other high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define hardware/software interfaces and system performance requirements.
  • Support system integration, manufacturing testing, and product validation activities.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, validation reports, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in global collaboration, including working with international teams (e.g., Japan) across time zones.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and power distribution concepts.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment involving hardware, software, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SPICE simulation, signal integrity analysis, and power distribution network (PDN) design.
  • Exposure to digital design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Experience in industrial automation, motion control systems, or digital printing technologies.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems (Linux, device drivers, RTOS).
  • Scripting and automation experience (Python, TCL, Bash).
  • Exposure to high-speed imaging or inkjet printing systems.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders, especially Japanese customers or teams.
  • Experience in print/imaging domain or industrial hardware products
  • Exposure to system-level architecture and end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
