Summary Responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients and overseeing the work of other occupational therapists. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Requirements

  • Master's Degree Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy required
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice occupational therapy from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • occupational therapist experience 3-5 years required
  • Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Hand Therapist preferred.
  • Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
  • Occupational Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
  • experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 3-5 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to determine appropriate therapy interventions.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals.
  • Providing ongoing therapy services to patients, including but not limited to: manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and modalities.
  • Supervising and mentoring other occupational therapists to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with advances in occupational therapy research and practice.
  • Contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
