About The Position

Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company The 777X Development Program and Flight Controls & Mechanical Hydraulics Core organizations is looking for Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineering Manager (Level L) to support the team in Everett, Washington. Position Overview: This senior manager will lead Flight Controls/Mechanical & Hydraulics engineers, technical designers, and managers supporting development. This role requires technical knowledge of Flight Controls/Mechanical Hydraulics and/or Airplane Systems and strong leadership capabilities to manage critical work statement across multiple teams. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience managing an engineering team
  • Experience with Boeing design, development, and certification processes
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and safety of Flight Controls/Mechanical Hydraulics hardware and systems
  • Performance management and mentorship of an engineering and management team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight of technical decision making
  • Set commitments and execute to program plans and priorities
  • Report status and elevate risks/issues to program leadership
  • Direct coordination and technical management of suppliers
  • Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Flight Sciences, System Stress, Production Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
