About The Position

Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company The 777X Development Program and Flight Controls & Mechanical Hydraulics Core organizations is looking for Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineering Manager (Level L) to support the team in Everett, Washington . Position Overview: This senior manager will lead Flight Controls/Mechanical & Hydraulics engineers, technical designers, and managers supporting development. This role requires technical knowledge of Flight Controls/Mechanical Hydraulics and/or Airplane Systems and strong leadership capabilities to manage critical work statement across multiple teams. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. Position Responsibilities: Ensure quality and safety of Flight Controls/Mechanical Hydraulics hardware and systems Performance management and mentorship of an engineering and management team Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports Provide oversight of technical decision making Set commitments and execute to program plans and priorities Report status and elevate risks/issues to program leadership Direct coordination and technical management of suppliers Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Flight Sciences, System Stress, Production Engineering, and/or Supply Chain Work Authorization: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience managing an engineering team
  • Experience with Boeing design, development, and certification processes
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
