WORK MODEL#LI-OnSiteWHAT YOU WILL DOThe Manufacturing Strategy Senior Group Manager leads and coordinates initiatives to optimize production planning, plant capacity, governance processes, and new model readiness across Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA) manufacturing operations. This role supports alignment of North American production plans with corporate strategy, tariff-mitigation considerations, model mix requirements, technology readiness, and long-term capacity objectives. Working closely with the Chief Manufacturing Officer (CMO), manufacturing leadership, affiliated manufacturing companies, and supply chain teams, the Group Manager translates strategic direction into actionable plans, strengthens governance execution, and supports continuous operational improvement. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Lead the development and execution of North America manufacturing strategy initiatives aligned with corporate direction and objectives. Drive production optimization to support output targets, mitigate tariff impacts, and respond to market demand. Coordinate plant capacity planning and long‑range production forecasting across North America manufacturing operations. Lead scenario analysis and modeling to support new product launches, capacity changes, and production shifts. Manage operating plan adjustments in response to market conditions, supply chain risks, and tariff considerations. Support and reinforce governance standards related to production, quality, supply chain, and model planning across regional plants. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and performance metrics to monitor performance, identify risks, and support corrective actions. Lead implementation of standardized plant operating modes and governance processes with plant and affiliate teams. Ensure manufacturing plans and execution align with corporate performance, quality, and cost objectives. Support the CMO in coordination with global headquarters on production strategy, operating plans, and long‑term capacity planning. Facilitate business planning, cross‑affiliate coordination, and alignment of strategic manufacturing investments. Identify emerging Hyundai/Kia Motor Company technologies and assess applicability to North America manufacturing operations. Support best‑practice deployment and technology transfer readiness across manufacturing sites. Coordinate regional readiness reviews, including schedule governance, tooling planning, quality validation, and SOP preparation. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to support successful and timely model introductions. Monitor budget performance and strategy. Manage and oversee department programs.
