WORK MODEL#LI-OnSiteWHAT YOU WILL DOThe Manager, Advanced Business Planning supports Hyundai Motor North America’s (HMNA) long-term manufacturing strategy by managing mid- and long-range strategic projects, overseeing plant construction and expansion initiatives, and strengthening governance for major cross-functional programs. The Manager partners closely with the Director of Advanced Business Planning, CMO leadership, plant teams, engineering, finance, and global affiliates to ensure alignment, milestone achievement, performance tracking, and timely decision-making across all strategic projects. The role plays a critical part in delivering capacity expansions, new plant investments, joint ventures, and infrastructure development that support HMNA’s future growth.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTStrategic Projects Execution Support execution of mid- and long-term strategic programs across HMNA manufacturing operations. Manage planning, coordination, and execution tasks for new plant construction, plant expansions, and major infrastructure initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams and affiliates to advance joint venture and partnership projects. Prepare analytical assessments, cost studies, and business planning documentation to support strategic decisions. Strategic Projects Governance Coordinate governance processes that ensure timely, informed decision-making for all strategic projects. Facilitate cross-functional alignment among program leads, engineering, construction, finance, and supply chain partners. Maintain structured governance reporting and present project updates, risks, and milestones to leadership. Performance Monitoring Define performance indicators, success metrics, and milestone criteria for strategic initiatives. Track progress across all project phases and identify schedule, cost, or operational risks. Provide recommendations, escalation points, and corrective action plans to senior leadership. Budget performance monitoring and strategy. Conduct annual performance reviews. Supervising, developing and mentoring department staff and direct reports. Managing and overseeing department programs. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field preferred
  • Six or more years of progressive experience in strategic planning, large-scale project management, manufacturing, or capital program leadership.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing initiatives.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing planning, operations, or industrial engineering.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic budget and accounting functions.

  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking, executive communication, risk management, and cross-functional leadership skills a plus.

Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $86,800 - $124,000 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
