About The Position

Design and produce graphics and collateral for BlueWater Resort and Casino. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide outstanding guest and associate service while performing assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information throughout the BlueWater Resort & Casino. Use their existing knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets. Work closely with graphic artist to teach how to produce creative and comprehensive layouts and unique designs for use by the BlueWater Resort & Casino in their marketing and advertising campaigns and for their on-property signage. Learn, work with and master the current and new design/creative principles, the use of specific design tools and the graphic design trade requirements and expectations. Progress to a level where the instructions and guidance required is minimal. Remain current with technological advances in the field and equipment utilized at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. Observe, learn and utilize the computer to design and create basic BlueWater Resort & Casino’s advertising and collateral pieces, as necessary. Work with the established job order priority list and assist in multitasking and working on several different projects during the same time frame. Inform the Director of Marketing of problems or difficulties in meeting these requirements. Learn and implement intermediate design skills, while maintaining a broad knowledge of current design and production techniques that can be utilized at the BlueWater Resort & Casino that allows them to manage projects from the concept stage through to actual production. Keep the workplace safe by following the established policies, procedures and guidelines. Upkeep of social media/website. Various video and photo work from a flying platform (Drone/Qaudcopter). Assist in promoting teamwork, efficiency and dedication while contributing to the development of a “true unit” by contributing to and supporting team behaviors performed by each individual assigned associate. Effectively and efficiently work under established time constraints to meet requested deadlines for all projects and other work related assignments. Perform all other duties as assigned or required in order to meet the responsibilities of the position and for the BlueWater Resort & Casino’s operations. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

Requirements

• All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures.
• Must be fluent in Photoshop(CC+), InDesign(CC+), Illustrator(CC+).
• Previous experience in Graphic Design required.
• Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must possess a high degree of originality, initiative, and judgment.
• Must possess good organizational skills.
• Must be able to present himself/herself in a business oriented manner.
• Must be assertive and self motivated and be able to work independently without direct oversight and management.
• Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays and additional hours as required.
• Must have a high school diploma, a General Education Development (GED) certificate or its equivalent.
• An equivalent amount of previous on-the-job experience and/or industrial training may also be accepted in lieu of the education requirements for this position.
• Must possess superior computer skills.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods, often in excess of 4 hours at a time.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to stand or walk for periods in excess of two hours at a time, on occasion.
• Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds on occasions.
• Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment, as required.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design or a related field is preferred.
• Previous directly related experience with an advertising agency, a graphic design studio or other experience in the graphic design field is highly encouraged.
• Experience operating a drone/quadcopter highly preferred, must be able to obtain RPC (Remote Pilot Certificate) from a certified FAA testing center.
