About The Position

Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of Grants Management operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a Senior Grants Management Analyst to support our prospective client within the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). DOT FHWA is located in Washington, DC, and this position is to be performed in a remote capacity. Candidates need to be agreeable to the possibility of the government returning staff on-site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities A Senior Grants Management Analyst functions in a senior-level grants management capacity and must provide off-site grants support services. The grants support services performed must be in conformance with all Government regulations and policies, including 2 CFR 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards; the DOT Guide to Financial Assistance; and other Governmental regulations and policies as appropriate. The primary focus of grants management must be on Grants and Cooperative Agreements with direct recipients, as discussed in the introduction section. A Senior Grants Management Analyst must have mastery knowledge and skill of concepts, principles, policies, procedures, and practices to plan and carry out all activities related to the highly complex aspects in Federal grants management sufficient to provide expert technical advice and consultation in all grants management areas including pre-award, post-award, and price/cost analysis, implementing new developments, and providing policy interpretation to program managers and other leadership staff.

Requirements

  • A Senior Grants Management Analyst must have a minimum of six years of direct Federal grants experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree, a thorough knowledge of the Federal Assistance practices and policies.
  • An expert understanding of the full grant lifecycle to troubleshoot and overcome difficult situations in order for the grant action to be resolved.
  • The Senior Analyst must have an expert knowledge of the application of 2 CFR 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
  • Must be proficient with using available Microsoft technology, such as Lists, SharePoint, and other software such as Outlook and technology such as shared network drives.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting Federal agencies and Federal competitive grant programs is preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity using systems such as ESC PRISM and GrantSolutions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Federal construction grant programs and infrastructure projects is desirable.
  • DOT/FHWA is transitioning to Google for productivity software by the end of FY26. Thus, familiarity with Google products will be beneficial.
