About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Global Lab Manager to oversee our hardware, software, product testing and workshop lab environments around the globe. This critical role requires a minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in managing, multi-site hardware, prototyping, R&D and testing labs in the IT industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the transition of a collection of unmanaged lab spaces into efficient, organized spaces. This candidate will develop a global lab strategy for current and future lab projects. This position requires a self-directed individual with exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of forging productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. This candidate will have proven capacity to seamlessly adapt and execute in a fast growing environment, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • You must be independently authorized to work in the U.S.
  • You must be able to work fully onsite 5-days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a long-term global strategy for lab infrastructure, including all test equipment, machinery and tools.
  • Foster a culture of safety with lab users.
  • Establish standards and best practices for lab operation, layout, and resource sharing to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Plan for rapid growth and change.
  • Optimize resource allocation (equipment, space) to effectively meet R&D, product management and engineering project needs.
  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all lab equipment globally.
  • Manage asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, inventory, and decommissioning of test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, environmental chambers etc.).
  • Develop and manage global vendor relationships for equipment service, calibration, and support.
  • Develop and manage training on lab equipment and tools for lab users.
  • Orient and train new lab users with equipment, tools, etiquette and restricted spaces.
  • Establish and enforce safety protocols and operating procedures for all lab environments, ensuring compliance with both internal company standards and all relevant local, regional, and international regulations.
  • Regularly audit global lab facilities and equipment, documenting and mitigating risks to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Establish and maintain proper disposal of proprietary electronic equipment, electronic waste and chemical waste per applicable laws and regulations.
  • Highly skilled in cross-functional communication with internal teams including but not limited to Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Solutions Engineers, Workplace (real estate and development and facilities), Security, Environment, Health and Safety.
  • Provide expert technical guidance for hardware-dependent projects, ensuring the global lab infrastructure is equipped to support current and future initiatives.
