Requisition Summary Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for a Senior General Accountant for our Division Office located in Denton, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.

  • CPA/CMA and Master's Degree.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
  • Deadline-driven and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly close of general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Manage intercompany transactions process with other PACCAR divisions.
  • Validate monthly financial statement balances.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end external reporting requirements.
  • Perform internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as assigned.
  • Assist with Physical Inventory and Build Station audits.
  • Complete special projects as required, such as ad-hoc reports for senior management and general accounting support.
