WHAT YOU’LL DO The General Ledger Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting activities of the organization. This position is also responsible for maintaining the organization’s accounting ledger and accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This position reports to the General Ledger Manager. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP. Maintain proper documentation and ensure audit evidence is organized and accounted for in support of prepared journal entries. Prepare reports for management. Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Adhere to deadlines, time constraints, and efficient request responses. Maintain fixed assets schedules, including additions and disposals, preparation of monthly reconciliation, and posting depreciation expense. Ensure accounting records, practices, and company policies remain standard across all business units. Assist departments with financial statement review, discrepancies, and inquiry research. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
