About The Position

Senior Functional Analyst will interpret and contextualize strategy for operational needs gathering specific artifacts such as business and value streams maps to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution. This will help streamline and rationalize the infrastructure enablement process. In addition to developing specific deliverables, views, and viewpoints, the business architect synthesizes and synergies the work of others and experience from disciplines such as strategy development, business analysis, process management, operations, and systems analysis. Lead the effort to attain lean enterprise-level performance within TPS and family of companies. Encompassing the integration of each company into the standardization of the Texas Pipe & Supply process.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Distribution and MFG ERP systems and support solutions; specific area ties; Phone call to delivery and all process steps in between.
  • Multi-site leadership experience (multi-company) with Global footprint; bringing teams together for collaboration
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Software implementation, integration, update support as needed
  • Analyze and refine business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency of Excel, and ability to format regularly for auditing and analyzing
  • 10 years of experience in process improvement.
  • Understanding of Progress 4GL libraries, Open Edge Studio, Progress AppServer, GUI tools for web services, MS SQL queries, Windows OS.
  • Background in software development, tech support, or a technology integration role.
  • Multisite management and process implementation
  • Familiarity with implementing and supporting ERP, business solutions, and platforms

Responsibilities

  • Align best practices for a lean enterprise vision for the single company standard.
  • Process control - Directed at monitoring, controlling, stabilizing, and pursuing ways to improve the process for value.
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the composition of those units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those groups
  • Define/Identify the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data
  • Work with end users to guide and understand the area’s business needs; offering experience to use current in-house strategy along with possible added/required support solutions.
  • Utilization of the ERP system. - One version of the truth.
  • Create a true value stream mapping.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks that slows information flow.
  • Identify and correct capacity constraints.
  • Reduce waste, create value added only progress, to improve profit or a more competitive product to customer.
  • Work with IS Development Team priorities and project distinctions
  • Project management- Backlog and capacity utilization of resources with tools to manage
  • Optimize/Standardize project process. Cover non-development demand
  • Assist/ Guide Development Review and suggest Solutions/ tools to enhance business
  • Review/monitor needs to complete projects, assign or align resources and role distinction to complete.
  • Document processes and systems to be repeatable.
  • Support Enterprise Solutions Director in completing Strategic Business Requirements.

  • Organization - Identifies people’s roles/functions, training in new ways of working, supporting, and communicating for speed to client.

  • Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.

  • Support President in completing Strategic business requirements as required.
  • Help stakeholders establish strategy for managing the day-to-day operations that are constant while striving for continuous improvement with competitive distinction.
  • Create collaboration channels across operational lines to cultivate best practice, communication, human capital enhancement, and employee involvement/ advancement.
  • With stakeholders’ involvement, create meaningful KPI’s to monitor, identify, institutionalize best practices, and measure improvement progress.
