Requirements
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required. Four additional years of relevant software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Eight or more years of experience building, integrating, and operating production software systems of similar scope and complexity.
- Proven experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
- Strong background in high-volume web application architectures and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience integrating complex systems across diverse technologies and platforms.
- Cloud engineering experience in AWS environments.
- Strong proficiency administering and deploying workloads on Kubernetes.
- Advanced Python development skills.
- Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as APM platforms, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to manage change, influence technical direction, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AI inference serving technologies such as vLLM or LiteLLM.
- Prior experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain.
- Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems.
- Experience working with high-performance computing or distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- You design, implement, and optimize scalable infrastructure supporting AI model inference.
- You support production AI services and applications, including retrieval augmented generation, autonomous agents, and emerging AI capabilities.
- You take ownership of loosely defined problem spaces and turn them into structured, reliable solutions.
- You help drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and engineering practices across teams.
- You implement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure platform visibility and performance.
- You automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code principles.
- You ensure AI platform components meet availability, reliability, performance, and security expectations.
- You provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers while collaborating across disciplines.
