JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Full Stack Engineer will lead backend design and development, build front-end interfaces, craft DevSecOps workflows, leverage AWS services, and implement containerization strategies for high-priority projects. This position requires extensive expertise in backend and frontend technologies in production environments. This is a hybrid role located in Crystal City, VA with the option for flex hours. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in partnering with product managers, integrating backend microservices, and automating CI/CD pipelines in support high-level government objectives. Working directly on classified projects, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing data infrastructure in cloud-based environments.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer working with backend and frontend technologies in production environments
  • Strong expertise in Go programming language
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and techniques like service discovery, circuit breakers, and software design patterns
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and the Vue.js framework for front-end development
  • Strong experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, PostgreSQL and AWS services, including SQS and S3
  • Hands-on knowledge of containerized environments leveraging Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Helm or managing Kubernetes deployments is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps methodologies including CI/CD automation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure as code
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively or independently in an agile environment
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, along with tools and methodologies to support modern development practices
  • Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in in Go programming, microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS services, and working with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience.
  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable backend solutions using Go programming language within a microservices architecture
  • Build interactive and responsive front-end interfaces utilizing the Vue.js framework and relevant libraries
  • Integrate backend microservices seamlessly with frontend components to create cohesive and efficient applications
  • Leverage AWS services like SQS, S3, and managed database solutions including OpenSearch/ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL for application development and deployment
  • Implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes (specifically EKS) to deploy scalable, reliable applications
  • Utilize Helm for managing Kubernetes applications as needed
  • Participate in automation and engineering tasks within DevSecOps workflows (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring)
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code principles for application deployment and configuration
  • Contribute to designing and building secure, efficient systems within cloud-based environments
  • Partner with project and product managers, users, and stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following coding standards and best practices
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, debug issues, and troubleshoot to maintain application stability and reliability
