  • Proven experience contributing to a company-wide budgeting or forecasting cycle
  • Strong financial modeling skills; comfortable building models from scratch in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with headcount planning and cost allocation across a multi-entity or multi-geography business
  • Ability to work with ambiguous, fast-moving data and turn it into actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills—able to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Experience in content, gaming, media, or consumer internet strongly preferred
  • Mandarin proficiency a plus given team collaboration across US and China

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting business teams on performance tracking or incentive design
  • Familiarity with digital content or consumer internet business models
  • Experience building budget-to-actuals variance frameworks with business metric linkage
  • Exposure to pre-IPO or high-growth startup environments

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the annual budgeting process across all business units, coordinating inputs from content, marketing, product, and G&A teams
  • Maintain rolling forecasts and variance analyses; translate financial results into clear narratives for CEO and leadership
  • Build and improve budget templates, planning models, and reporting cadences that hold business teams accountable to business-driven targets—not just spend numbers
  • Design and manage headcount planning models across departments and geographies
  • Develop and maintain cost allocation methodologies across product lines and markets, including shared services and infrastructure
  • Partner with HR and department leads on workforce planning and compensation benchmarking
  • Serve as a dedicated FP&A partner to key business units, providing financial analysis and decision support
  • Build and maintain P&L frameworks at the business unit level, tracking revenue, costs, and investment returns across markets
  • Design and maintain performance scorecards tied to business KPIs, connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers
  • Support incentive plan design and periodic business reviews with leadership
