Our Southeast Engineering Design Organization is looking for a Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join the team in Charlotte, NC ! In this role, you will be responsible for testing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm communication networks utilizing radio mesh technology. This role ensures reliable system operation, code compliance, and supports project execution through technical leadership in the field. This is a part-time, as needed position. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Recommendations: Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents. Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others. Performance Management: Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Requirements

  • Experience installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning radio mesh communication equipment for fire alarm systems
  • Experience leading and supporting system inspections, testing, and acceptance with AHJs including coordinating with fire alarm technicians, engineers and project managers
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72, local AHJ requirements, and manufacturer standards
