The Senior Financial & Risk Analyst is a role that resides in the Finance department and focuses on two primary areas of responsibility: (a) financial planning and analysis (FP&A), assisting the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance with these activities, and (b) oversight of the Company's risk management and commercial insurance programs, working with the Company's insurance broker and insurance carriers. The two primary areas of responsibility for this role are somewhat equally weighted as noted below, with the FP&A duties running on a schedule generally in-line with the Company's period closing processes, while the risk management duties will follow the general schedule of the commercial insurance policies renewals and reporting that are staggered throughout the calendar year. In general, the FP&A activities will encompass a combination of existing duties currently handled by the Finance department while allowing for new and enhanced analysis of the Company's financials including reviews of variations of actual results to forecasted results, as well as focusing on special projects to review the Company's financial results and position. The risk management duties will be transitioned from the oversight of individuals in the Human Resources department.
