Accelerative Success. Redwood Strategy Group is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Financial Manager. This is currently a short term, immediate need. This role will provide support for Headquarters Marine Corps Programs and Resources, Budget Execution Division (RBE) by assisting with financial management, budgeting, and reporting activities that align with program objectives and federal guidelines. The Senior Financial Manager will work under the guidance of the Senior ERP Business Analyst, collaborating with stakeholders to support business processes, implement IT solutions, and utilize tools like Power BI for financial reporting.

Requirements

  • FOUR years of experience in financial management, business analysis, or a related field, preferably within a defense or federal government context. Experience with Power BI is essential, and familiarity with DAI and Advana is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of financial processes within federal agencies and experience using reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense and Marine Corps’ financial policies, procedures, and best practices is essential.
  • Secret or above

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and basic proficiency in integrating them to enhance budgeting and financial analysis processes.
  • Ability to support multiple stakeholders and collaborate with government personnel and vendors under the leadership of senior staff.
  • Strong communication skills to assist in preparing briefings and basic financial documentation for program support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ERP system optimization efforts within the Marine Corps’ P&R Department, focusing on financial management and reporting.
  • Support stakeholders in gathering and analyzing requirements to ensure ERP system enhancements meet financial management needs.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HQMC business processes within the DAI platform.
  • Deliver basic training and guidance to users on tools such as DAI, PBIS, Advana, and Power BI, ensuring they are correctly implemented.
  • Contribute to developing and managing financial reporting tools like Power BI to support budget execution and basic financial analysis.
  • Assist in monitoring budget execution activities for the Budget Execution Division (RBE), providing support for accurate and timely reporting.
