In this position as a Senior Financial Management Analyst, you will be preparing for and responding to financial statement audits. You will serve as a key liaison between government stakeholders and external auditors, ensuring audit readiness, compliance, and high-quality financial documentation throughout the audit lifecycle. In this position, you will also: Serve as the primary liaison between USUHS and external auditors (e.g., IPAs, OIG), coordinating entrance/exit conferences, walkthroughs, and audit touchpoints Manage the full lifecycle of Provided-By-Client (PBC) requests, including assignment, tracking, quality control, and submission to auditors and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Leverage AI-enabled knowledge management tools to automate identification, retrieval, and quality review of audit documentation Coordinate the collection, analysis, and packaging of audit sample documentation, ensuring completeness and audit readiness Perform root cause analysis on audit sample failures and provide actionable feedback to internal controls teams for remediation Support compliance inquiries by delivering accurate financial data and documentation aligned with audit and regulatory requirements Provide executive-level visibility into audit progress, financial performance, and risk areas Manage high-volume audit workloads, including 100–200 audit samples and ~100 PBC requests annually Adapt support to align with cyclical audit demands, optimizing resource allocation during peak and non-peak periods Maintain audit-ready documentation and records in accordance with federal financial management standards
