About The Position

Position Summary Serve as a lead analyst on balance sheet accounts and statement of activities accounts assigned by analyzing, reconciling, and documenting processes in runbooks. Liaise between NYU's real estate portfolio and accounting to ensure proper recording and reconciling. Point person for intercompany processes and transactions. Seek out and identify various process improvement projects and propose solutions. Provide ongoing assistance to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years relevant experience with audit, analysis and reconciliation of large, complex bank accounts or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Skilled in analyzing problems and implementing effective management solutions and establishing priorities.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and database software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as they apply to banking transactions

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years relevant experience with audit, analysis, and reconciliation of large, complex bank accounts or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Fame (the University's general ledger system), Workday financials
