About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst provides credible/reliable, consistent, standardized, and integrated financial consultative services for Markets and Integrated Centers of Clinical Excellent (ICCE) and/or Functional Areas. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Financial Integrity & Analysis under MUSC Health Corporate System Finance. Under limited supervision, the Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC001097 SYS - Corp Health System Finance Pay Rate Type Salary Pay Grade Health-29 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description This position is an expert in evaluating and resolving complex financial issues and demonstrates strong analytical and financial skills to maximize financial operations. The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic financial resource for the Director of Financial Integrity & Analysis. Prepares and compiles all financial requests including preforms, return on investment calculations, financial modeling and financial data requests in conjunction with System Finance teams. Serves as the subject matter expert in financial operations supporting decision making, financial strategy, performance improvement, and other key financial goals through valid, relevant, and quality decision support reports, dashboards, and analyses. Takes a lead role in financial analysis; participates in team and project meetings; and provides input on intelligent solutions to improve efficiency and financial position of the Markets and ICCE and/or Functional Areas. Additional Job Description Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in a position of significant financial and operational responsibility and data analysis required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Accounting or related field with five (5) years directly related experience. Proven ability to research, gather, synthesize and organize information to produce concise reports using various resources. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets and have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complicated policies and procedures and financial information to a wide variety of audiences. Must be able to demonstrate expert skills in identifying key stakeholders, acquiring and preparing financial data, selecting and applying analytic tools, and producing actionable results. Academic Medical Center (AMC) Healthcare experience preferred. Solid understanding of data mining techniques, emerging techniques and a proactive approach. Requirements

  • Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in a position of significant financial and operational responsibility and data analysis required.
