As infrastructure investment, AI innovation, and usage-based economics accelerate, managing and optimizing Cost of Revenue is increasingly strategic to our long-term performance. The Strategic Finance team at Genesys is responsible for leading the company’s financial forecasting and reporting for executives and investors, including developing the company’s annual budget and long-range plans and providing executives with regular analysis of the company’s performance across key strategic goals. This position will take a leading role in Gross Margin analytics and cloud cost management for the Genesys Cloud business. This role offers high visibility, direct partnership with senior leaders across Finance and R&D, and meaningful impact on margin performance in a complex, fast-scaling SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Data Analytics, or Consulting.
  • SaaS or Cloud business model experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure cost modeling (AWS or similar) is a significant plus.
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience working with large datasets and BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Adaptive, etc.).
  • Strong executive communication skills — able to distill complexity into clear insights.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Budgets and Forecasts Drive forecasting and analysis of cloud infrastructure and technology cost of revenue, including AWS and other strategic vendors.
  • Build scalable models that incorporate usage-based drivers, savings plans, credits, and contract structures.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate accruals, amortization, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Strengthen financial visibility into infrastructure spend as the business scales.
  • Gross Margin Strategy and Insights Develop unit economics frameworks that connect infrastructure costs to business drivers.
  • Identify margin improvement opportunities through deep cost and usage analysis.
  • Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership to inform investment and optimization decisions.
  • Data and Process Optimization Reconcile complex, fragmented datasets across financial systems and cloud usage platforms.
  • Improve automation, reporting accuracy, and efficiency in recurring analyses.
  • Proactively identify financial risks, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Act as a strategic finance partner to R&D and Product leadership.
  • Support financial transparency around AI investments and cloud scaling initiatives.
  • Translate technical infrastructure data into clear financial narratives.
