Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial support to manufacturing facilities located in US and Canada, produces KPIs to help guide management decision making, is a primary resource supporting COGS accounting for Operations and Sales Sub entities, and works to ensure accurate inventory accounting and in maintaining proper inventory controls. The position assists with month end close and plays a key role in annual budget process. Prepare monthly KPI reports on labor efficiency, material usage, OT hours, and on time delivery by product/order types and report results vs. Outlook/budget Monitor the business performance and understand any gaps versus forecast and potential impact on the P&L, B/S or cash-flow Provide financial support to Operations management on project cost tracking, new product introduction, cost saving initiatives and business cases for proposed asset acquisitions Serves as a strategic business partner to Operations Leadership by conducting cost‑benefit analyses to support the selection and prioritization of operational projects. Participate in month end close and analyze monthly performance of the NA Operations and support the monthly management reporting including updates to outlook Lead Annual Cost Roll process which involves updating material cost of inventory items to align with global standards, adjusting labor and overhead absorption rates to reflect current year budget, updating routing and work center times and rates, and calculation of inventory revaluation Contribute to development and completion of Operations budget and COGS budget for Sales Subs. Work with ERP, BI and Microsoft Office to arrive at budget amounts for COGS/OPEX. Upload/Extract budget data from SAP/ERP as well as outlook/projections Serve as primary financial contact for manufacturing and shipping leaders to resolve day-to-day process-related issues Partners with the Logistics team to conduct freight cost analyses and provides data‑driven recommendations to optimize overall freight expenses Prepare plant specific accruals as required and reconcile GL accounts specific to Operations Other duties as assigned Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.) Business acumen and industry understanding to advise on how to optimize the business model and value delivered to customers Comprehensive, applicable knowledge of finance and accounting in a business setting Desired Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; or equivalent work experience and knowledge. Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance Experience: Minimum of five years accounting or FP&A experience Cost accounting experience required Intermediate or higher skill level with MS office, PowerBI & SAP Experience with Navision ERP and D365 preferred. Occasional weekend work may be required based on month-end business needs. This role follows a hybrid work schedule: In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Remote (Work From Home): Monday and Friday Flexible start time at 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM Central Time Specific times may vary, and this role may require additional hours to support operational or month end activities.
