About The Position

Senior Financial Analyst Options For All, Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in San Diego, CA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Act as a strategic partner to the Controller/CFO by utilizing planning and forecasting insights to identify long-term growth opportunities, support strategic initiatives, and inform high-level decision-making. Lead the development and execution of long-range financial plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts across departments and business units. Analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Drive monthly reporting processes, including variance analysis against budget and forecast, and communicate findings to senior & executive leadership. Prepare executive, board-level, and external stakeholder presentations. Own and enhance financial models for scenario planning, program expansion, cost optimization, and investment evaluations. Support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modeling. Act as financial business partner to department leaders, assisting in budget ownership and accountability. Lead or support implementation and optimization of financial planning software, tools, and dashboards. Mentor junior financial analysts and provide guidance on data analysis best practices. Collaborate with accounting to support accurate monthly close processes and ensure alignment of actuals to forecast. Manage ad hoc projects and strategic financial requests from the Executive Team. Ensure the integrity of financial data and participate in internal control process improvements. Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed. Analyze and summarize key financial and operational KPIs and present actionable insights in a visually compelling manner.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Finance, Economics, International Business, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in financial planning and analysis at a nonprofit organization.
  • Must have experience with: 1)Financial grants reporting and non profit finance 2)Financial reporting tools and data visualization- Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio 3)GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis 4)Building and maintaining complex financial models 5)FP&A tools such as NetSuite, Vena, or Adaptive Insights.
