About The Position

Senior Financial Analyst In-person in Orem, UT Nexio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team! This role will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, and will be a key contributor in driving accurate and insightful forecasting, analysis, and reporting of revenue, interchange, processing expenses, and operating expenses, with an emphasis on producing actionable conclusions from the analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and thrives in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) preferred.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, concise analyses and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast revenue, interchange fees, processing expenses, and operating expenses. Support the monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles, incorporating business drivers, volume trends, and pricing dynamics.
  • Revenue & Cost Analysis: Analyze revenue streams by lead source, industry/vertical, pricing, risk profile, and other factors to identify key performance trends and growth opportunities. Project and analyze interchange and processing cost structures, partnering with operations and data teams to understand underlying drivers and variances and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Reporting & Insights: Prepare and deliver recurring management reports and variance analyses comparing actual results to forecast, budget, and prior periods. Translate complex data into tables, graphs, and slides that are easily understood by business leaders throughout the company. Identify actionable insights and strategic recommendations for Finance and company leadership. Produce ad hoc analyses and reports as requested.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Operations, Data Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and accuracy for financial reporting and analysis. Collaborate with the Manager of FP&A to improve forecasting accuracy, automate reporting, enhance financial visibility across the organization, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in data gathering, analysis, reporting, and delivery. Support system enhancements and automation efforts related to financial modeling and data visualization.
