About The Position

Join Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team as a Finance Partner supporting critical HR operations that serve over 1.6 million employees globally. You'll provide strategic financial guidance to leadership teams managing frontline HR support and time management services, translating complex operational data into insights that drive key business decisions across the company. As the dedicated finance partner for MyHR Live Support and Central Time Keeping organizations, you'll balance strategic planning with hands-on financial analysis. Your day might include collaborating with operations leaders to evaluate the financial impact of new workforce management systems, preparing variance reports that explain monthly financial performance to senior leadership, or developing business cases for process automation initiatives. You'll move between detailed cost analysis—diving into vendor spend or contact center capacity planning—and high-level strategic conversations about how to optimize the cost structure of critical HR services. Your work directly influences decisions about technology investments and operational efficiency across Amazon's global workforce. We are a strategic finance team embedded within Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization, serving as trusted financial advisors to senior leadership. Our team provides the data-driven insights that help shape decisions impacting all of Amazon's employees. We work collaboratively with HR Operations, Technology teams, and Workforce Management partners to understand both the financial and operational implications of our recommendations. We're focused on supporting the operational backbone that enables Amazon to serve its workforce effectively, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to combining financial rigor with a deep understanding of HR operations. Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with MyHR Live Support and Central Time Keeping leadership to translate business strategies into financial plans, providing data-driven insights on contact center capacity, technology investments, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Lead annual operating plan, quarterly forecast, and monthly close processes, including headcount planning, operating expense management, vendor spend analysis, and variance reporting
  • Design, develop, and maintain financial metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards that support key business decisions and provide visibility into financial performance
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and financial evaluations for new system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives, communicating key drivers and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate across HR Operations, Technology, Workforce Management, and other teams to develop business cases and assess the financial implications of operational changes
