Senior Financial Analyst - Programming Finance

We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Programming Finance to join our Global FP&A team based in our New York, NY office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, problem solve and effectively prioritize one's workload
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in the media and entertainment industry is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Budget and forecasting management for programming investments of targeted streaming services, with ownership of content slate, amortization, and cash
- Prepare budget and forecast decks for senior leadership
- Manage the month end close reporting, analyze results versus forecast, and provide senior management with commentary and risks and opportunities to financial plan
- Data analysis and data quality management
- Continually review finance processes/reporting to improve overall efficiency and accuracy
- Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed
- Partner with broader Finance and Business Intelligence teams to define and track content related KPI’s for each streaming service
